CimTrak 2.0.6.18 has new features that support Amazon's Linux AMI-based cloud services.

Merrillville, IN (December 17, 2014) Security in the cloud is more important than ever and is a growing concern for the minds of CISOs. The recent release of CimTrak Version 2.0.6.18 adds enhanced capabilities that support Amazon Cloud Services users of Amazon Linux AMI. This is a continuation of CimTrak’s long-term commitment to securing cloud-based information technology (IT) infrastructure.

The Amazon Linux AMI has emerged as one of the most stable execution environments available on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). With the introduction of the CimTrak Agent for Amazon Linux AMI, CimTrak hopes to make this execution environment more secure. The CimTrak Agent for Amazon Linux AMI finally empowers network administrators with the ability to monitor their cloud-based EC2 instances for all changes, both expected and unexpected. When enterprises extend their infrastructure into the cloud, they often feel that a trade-off must be made, in terms of security, in order to benefit from the scalability, reduced capital costs, and redundancy of the cloud. CimTrak Agent support for Amazon Linux AMI allows administrators to embrace the cloud, without sacrificing security.

Robert Johnson, III, President and CEO of Cimcor offered the following remarks about the recent developments, ”Our technology allows administrators to have confidence that their cloud-based assets haven't been altered, and are in a trustable state of integrity, even though those servers are located in the cloud, often far beyond the four walls of the enterprise. This new Amazon Linux AMI support reinforces Cimcor's commitment to providing world-class security, integrity, and change auditing tools to public, private, and hybrid cloud architecture.”

CimTrak has always been committed to the Linux environment with the ability to monitor a large variety of Linux flavors running on servers and workstations including:

Red Hat
CentOS
Fedora
Gentoo
Oracle
Debian
SUSE
Ubuntu

In fact, CimTrak Agents support most any Linux distribution in order to offer complete, enterprise-wide IT security and integrity coverage.
