Merrillville, IN  (September 30, 2014) Cimcor, Inc. announced an advanced data integration API for their world-class File and Network Integrity Monitoring software, CimTrak. The release of the representative state transfer application programming interface (REST API) provides an open platform for creating security policies, analyzing security events, generating reports, and providing a method for gaining deeper insight into an organization’s security posture.

The REST API enables organizations to dynamically create and modify, and enforce security policies. This API allows an organization to more tightly integrate security into their change management and business processes. Robert E. Johnson, III, President, and CEO of Cimcor, noted, “Converging security-related information with other state-related information within the enterprise creates the framework for enterprise-wide continuous situational awareness.”

The availability of this data integration API creates the opportunity for big data analysis of security-related data gathered by the CimTrak Integrity Suite. In addition, this API can be used to integrate the power of the CimTrak management framework into all types of devices including mobile phones, web applications, and desktop applications. The new REST API functionality provides the opportunity to couple the Cimtrak File Integrity Monitoring software suite with in-house development projects, existing software, or use-case-specific automated functions. This “closed-loop” system of integrated security will make it easier than ever to know “what has changed”, and “what to expect” and identify with certainty when events outside of acceptable security policies have occurred.
